On-grid solar systems in Lahore
An on-grid solar system connects solar generation to a grid-connected property without battery storage. It is one option to consider when reducing purchased electricity is the main goal.

Where the generated electricity goes
In our estimate, solar first supplies daytime electricity demand. Surplus energy is assigned an export credit only when the export option is enabled. If export is unavailable, that surplus is treated as unused generation rather than a financial saving.
No battery capacity or cost
Selecting on-grid in the calculator removes battery capacity and cost from the estimate. On-grid should not be treated as an outage-backup solution. If backup is a priority, discuss a hybrid system and the specific appliances you want supported.
Check export eligibility separately
Grid-export availability, connection requirements and the applicable credit must be confirmed for your property. The calculator uses an Andromeda-supplied export assumption of Rs 8.50/kWh; this is not a statement that every connection qualifies for that rate. You can disable export to compare a self-consumption-only scenario.
What determines the value?
Panel capacity, daytime consumption and the value of any approved export all affect the estimate. Adding more panels does not mean every additional unit will replace electricity purchased at the retail price. Compare generation with demand before committing to a system size.
For a proposal, share your bills, property location and operating hours. Ask for the panel and inverter specifications, installation scope, written warranty terms and connection assumptions. Compare residential and commercial planning considerations.
